Gift Cards & Vouchers
Gift Cards & Vouchers with Card Designer lets you sell gift cards as products in your Shopware 6 shop, design them as PDFs in your own look, and let customers pay with them at checkout.

What it does
- Gift card products: turn any product into a gift card, with a fixed amount, a flexible amount between a minimum and a maximum, or a choice of amounts (e.g. €25, €50 and €100).
- Personalisation: buyers can add a recipient, a sender and a personal message. A digital gift card can be e-mailed to the recipient right away or on a day the buyer picks.
- Gift card designer: build your own PDF designs with drag and drop, with titles, text, images, rectangles and a QR code, any Google Font, and the buyer's message.
- Delivery: the gift card is e-mailed as a PDF when the order is placed or paid. Buyers can also download it in My Account > Orders. Physical gift cards skip the e-mail and the PDF.
- Redeeming: customers enter the code in the voucher field of the cart, or open a link that adds the gift card to the cart. Several gift cards can be used in one order, and the rest of the balance stays on the card.
- VAT: sell gift cards as multi-purpose vouchers (no VAT when sold, VAT due on the products they pay for) or as single-purpose vouchers (VAT when sold), per product.
- "Gift card" payment method: when gift cards pay the whole order, no payment provider is asked to charge €0.
- Balance page: anyone can check the balance and expiry date of a gift card.
- Administration: an overview of sold and redeemed gift cards, every transaction per card, creating cards by hand, resending e-mails and import/export.
- E-invoices: XRechnung and ZUGFeRD invoices show gift cards so the totals add up.
Getting started
- Install and activate the extension.
- Check the plugin configuration, especially the Calculation type.
- Create a gift card product.
- Optionally, create your own design in the gift card designer.
- Place a test order and redeem the gift card you receive.
