Sheet

The sheet shows the products that match the search and filters, 25 to 250 per page, with the columns of the current view. Edit a cell, and the change is kept in the browser (yellow) until you click "Review and save". Nothing is saved before the review.

Views

A view stores the columns, languages, filters, column filters, sorting and column widths. Six views are built in: Overview, Translations, Quality errors, SEO texts, Price and stock, and Shipping and packaging. Change a view and save it with "Save view" or "Save as new view".

Views are personal. Users with the "Share views" permission can share a view with all Product Studio users.

Columns and languages

  • "Columns" adds and removes columns, grouped by texts, general, assignment, shipping and packaging, price and stock, properties and custom fields. The first column after the product number stays visible when you scroll.
  • "Languages" shows translatable columns once per language, side by side. A text that has no translation shows the text of the default language in grey: that is what the storefront shows.
  • Variants appear under their main product (click the arrow). "Variants as rows" lists them as normal rows. A value a variant inherits from its main product is shown in grey; type a value to override it.
  • Properties are one column per property group, with the values separated by |.

Filters

Search (product number, the name in any language, EAN, manufacturer number), and filters for active state, variants, manufacturer, category (including subcategories), tag, sales channel, quality status, a failing rule, and translation problems (missing or outdated, per language and text). The Health and Languages tabs open the sheet with these filters already set.

Column filters

Every column header has a filter button (or press Alt + ↓ on a cell to filter its column). The conditions depend on the column:

ColumnConditions
Texts, product numbercontains, is, is empty, is not empty
Numbers and pricesis, less than, greater than, between, is empty, is not empty
Datesbefore, after, between, is empty, is not empty
Yes/noYes, No, is empty
Manufacturer, categories, tags, properties, sales channels, optionsis any of, is empty, is not empty
Search keywordscontains, is empty, is not empty
Advanced prices, cover imageis empty, is not empty
Qualitythe score: is, less than, greater than, between, is empty (not checked yet)
  • A translatable column filters in its own language: "Name (de-DE) is empty" lists the products without a German name, even when the storefront would show the English one.
  • With "Variants as rows", a variant that inherits a value counts with that value: "Weight is empty" doesn't list variants whose main product has a weight. In the tree, the filters apply to the main products; their variants, when you open them, are filtered the same way.
  • Prices are filtered on the default currency (gross or net), list price and purchase price. Prices in other currencies can be compared, but not filtered as empty: products without their own price in that currency can't be told apart. The lowest price of the last 30 days, the media count and SEO URLs can't be filtered.
  • Active column filters are shown as chips above the sheet: click a chip to change it, × to remove it. They are part of the view, and of "Select all matching products".
  • "Empty cells only" in the toolbar lists the products with an empty value in at least one visible column. Columns that can't be empty (like the stock) are ignored.

When you paste, names of manufacturers, categories, tags, sales channels, units, delivery times and property values are looked up in any language. Cells that can't be parsed or found are marked red and not staged.

Pasting works like in a spreadsheet: one value fills the whole selected range, and a block repeats when the selected range is a multiple of it (two copied rows pasted into six selected rows fill all six). Otherwise the block is pasted once from the top left cell. Rows beyond the end of the page (or columns beyond the last column) are not pasted: a message says how many, so you can paste them on the next page.

Dates can be pasted as 2026-12-31, 31.12.2026 or 31/12/2026. With American English as the administration language, slashes are read month first (12/31/2026).

Fields that can't be empty (the stock, and the price, active state and default-language name of a main product) are marked red right away when you empty them, and keep their value.

Manufacturer, category and other reference cells open a search: start typing on the cell, pick with the arrow keys and Enter. List cells (categories, tags, properties) keep the search open; "Apply" next to it, Tab, or Ctrl/Cmd + Enter applies the selection.

Unsaved changes survive a page reload in the same browser tab. Leaving Product Studio asks for confirmation.

Review and save

"Review and save" creates a job that compares your changes with the current values. It shows the values before and after per product, field and language, with a status per product:

StatusMeaning
Will changeThe change is applied when you apply the review.
ConflictSomeone else changed the value since you loaded it. Your change is not applied; load the product again and decide.
InvalidThe value isn't allowed, for example an empty price, an unknown category or a text that is too long.
No changeThe product already has the value.

Warnings mark changes that look like mistakes, without blocking them: a price that changes by more than 50 % (configurable) or becomes 0, a list price that is not above the price, a price below the purchase price or under the minimum margin (configurable), an EAN without a valid check digit, HTML in a plain-text field and placeholder texts (lorem ipsum, TODO, {{). The "Warnings" filter shows only those products, each with a warning icon and the reasons. "Exclude … with warnings" unticks all of them at once. Both settings are in the plugin configuration under "Review warnings".

Untick products you don't want to change, then click "Apply changes". "Back to the sheet" discards only the review. Your changes stay in the sheet, with the values the review refused marked red, so you can correct them and review again. "Discard" in the toolbar discards the changes themselves. Changes of up to 100 products (configurable) are saved immediately, larger ones in the background. The job and its report stay in the history.

Revert

Every job in the history has "Revert changes". Reverting creates a new job with before and after swapped, and the same review. A value that was changed again after the job is reported as a conflict and stays as it is.

Selection and bulk actions

Tick rows, or "Select all N matching products" to select every product matching the filters, also on other pages. Then use "Bulk edit" (Bulk actions), "Export" (Import and export), "Check quality again" or "Mark translations as up to date".

"Check quality again" and "Mark translations as up to date" need the editor permission for selected products, and the "Bulk actions" permission for all matching products. Checking the whole catalogue again (Health tab) needs the "Manage rules" or "Bulk actions" permission.

Quality column and product panel

The Quality column shows the score, coloured by the status (green complete, yellow warnings, red errors), and the languages with translation problems as text, for example "Missing: NL, FR" and "Outdated: DE". Hover the text for the numbers per language. Click the cell to open the product panel with the failing rules, the missing and outdated translations, and the last changes made with Product Studio.
