Bulk actions

Select products in the sheet (or "all matching products"), then "Bulk edit". Choose a field, a change and the value. Nothing is saved yet. "Preview changes" creates a job with the same review as the sheet, and you apply it from there. Up to 50,000 products per job (configurable). Bulk actions need the "Bulk actions" permission.

In the tree only main products are selected. "Also change variants" adds their variants; the modal shows how many ("+312 variants") before you preview, and warns when the products and variants together are more than a job may hold. With "Variants as rows" variants are selected like any product, so there is nothing to add.

Change	Fields	What it does
Set to	All editable fields	Gives every product the value. Translatable fields: per chosen language.
Empty	Fields that may be empty	Removes the value. On a variant this means it inherits again.
Add	Categories, tags, sales channels, properties	Adds values, keeps the current ones.
Remove	Same	Removes the chosen values.
Replace with	Same	Replaces all current values with the chosen ones.
Find and replace	Texts	Replaces a text, optionally case-sensitive (also for umlauts and accents). In texts with formatting (the description) only the visible text is searched, never the HTML tags. Products without the text are unchanged.
Copy from another language	Translatable texts	Copies the text of one language into other languages, optionally only where the text is empty.
Inherit from main product	Inheritable fields	Removes the variant's own value. Main products are skipped.

Each change is calculated into concrete values per product before you apply it. Running the same bulk action twice changes nothing the second time, and adding a category that is already there is reported as unchanged.

Sales channels added with "Add" get the visibility "Everywhere". Prices are set as gross price in the default currency; the net price is calculated with the product's tax rate. Advanced prices and other currencies are not changed.
